I worked for a family owned business for most of my life. I often attribute my financial education to those 12 years of service to one family. I spent 4 years working for a fortune 100 company, where I excelled at goal setting and attainment, for large scale revenue projects.
Something was calling me back to my roots. Loni works with small business owners, understanding that business owners are often distracted, and work very hard, and often for too many years. I understand that with growing a business you are often growing a family as well. I have found myself to be empathetic. My heart was in growing my planning business, while being the father I wanted to be for my kids and being a husband to Julie.
Loni helps many families to understand that in order to be successful, you must remain focused. We do not want to compete with the business, but simply to preserve the wealth, through asset location.
Who knows if our kids will want to take over our businesses someday. All of us deserve the chance to live a life, independent of our finances, no matter what the future holds.
We belong to Stanardsville United Methodist Church. We focus on our community (Greene County) and the youth education programs.
We enjoy hiking and camping on the parkway, and swimming at ACAC. We are very active, often running races for causes that align with our family values.
I coach youth basketball and soccer for Greene County Parks and Rec. I participate in adult league basketball in the Summer with the YMCA and again in the Winter with Albemarle Parks and Rec.
I play in local top-level squash leagues throughout the year, email me anytime to play!
Summers are for hanging with the family swimming, traveling, and being together.
Loni met his wife Julie, in Charlottesville Virginia. They have been married since 2007. They have three children (Abigail, Holsten, and Elizabeth "BB").
